What’s New in 2.0.0
This update is for DockLock Plus only. It introduces powerful new automation capabilities and advanced control features for multi-display setups. These features were initially developed with the hope of bringing them to DockLock Lite as well, but Apple rejected the update because they do not allow two apps to have identical features. As a result, the two apps now serve distinct purposes: DockLock Lite is focused on keeping the Dock fixed in place with a simple and stable experience, while DockLock Plus is designed for power users who want automation, third-party integrations, and flexible control over the Dock. Everyone who previously purchased DockLock+ automatically received a free upgrade to DockLock Plus with all the new automation features included.
- The main processing thread now runs at elevated priority - DockLock Plus reacts faster and more reliably when displays change or your Mac wakes from sleep.
- Refined the algorithms that monitor Dock position for an even more seamless multi-monitor experience.
- Fixed a handful of minor inconsistencies in the interface to improve clarity and visual coherence.
- Fixed rare crashes on display reconnect
New Automation Features
- Dynamic “Dock Follows Mouse” Mode
Enable the Dock to automatically jump and lock to whichever display your cursor enters-ideal for fluid workflows across multiple screens. - Apple Shortcuts Integration
Every DockLock Plus action is now available as an App Intent. You can enable or disable locking, move the Dock by display name, direction, or exact coordinate, query its status, and even launch or quit the app from within any Shortcut or via Siri. - Custom URL-Scheme Control
Invoke DockLock Plus commands from scripts, Automator workflows, launchers, or third-party apps using DockLockPlus:// URLs (for example: DockLockPlus://enableDockFollowsMouse DockLockPlus://moveToDisplay?name=Built-in Display). - Expanded Menu-Bar Commands
The DockLock Plus menu-bar icon now offers direct items to: - Toggle the Dock-locking engine on or off
- Switch “Dock Follows Mouse” mode
- Move the Dock by display name
